Air-gapped computer vision. Sovereign LLMs. Command and control. National-scale platforms. Engineered by senior teams, and shipped since 2016.
What we build
Production AI for environments where a cloud API is not an option — through to storefronts that absorb launch day.
Flagship platform
Multi-model video detection, multi-sensor ingest, an autonomous drone-response fleet and operator command. One platform, one audit log, and no path to the internet. Eleven capability domains, all shipped.
On a single GPU node
Autonomous response drones

Our work
Government and defence programmes appear by codename only — capability and measured outcome in full, client never named.⁴
A significant part of this portfolio cannot be named. Whatever we will not say about them is exactly what we will not say about you. Read the disclosure policy.
Clients
“Artikate embedded with our team from day one. Their ability to understand our security constraints and still ship at pace was unlike anything we had experienced with previous vendors. MINERVA was our most ambitious project — they delivered it in 75 days.”
“Behind every major milestone for Krida AI is a technology win. Artikate built a platform that now manages 1.4 million athletes, and it has never gone down. Their team treats our product as their own.”
“The work was technically complex — real-time telemetry from 2,400 vehicles, predictive maintenance models, offline-first mobile apps. Artikate handled every dimension with impressive depth and delivered an ROI we could measure in the first quarter.”
How we deliver
From the second phase onward: a live demo, not a status deck. Blockers escalated inside 24 hours.
Day 1–3
A deep-dive on constraints, not a sales call. We ask hard questions about your security requirements, existing stack, integration boundaries and what “done” actually means. By day three there is a shared, written understanding of the problem space — before a line of code is written.
What you get
Why Artikate
No timezone friction. Our engineers work Indian Standard Time and are reachable during your business hours — no overnight delays, no async-only collaboration.
Every project starts from a security-first posture. Air-gapped deployments, zero-egress setups and classified data handling are our everyday baseline, not edge cases.
You see working software every fortnight. The cadence means issues surface early, priorities can shift quickly, and delivery stays predictable.
Velocity and budget are managed in parallel. Fixed-price or dedicated team — we are explicit about the trade-offs from day one. No surprise invoices.
Every engagement has senior engineering oversight. You are not handed to juniors after the pitch; the people who scoped it are accountable for it.
Built for the long term rather than the handover. The EMSPL engagement has run 24 months and is still going — we stay invested past initial delivery.
Technologies
An unconventional stack is a recruitment problem and a handover problem. Everything here can be maintained by an engineer who did not write it.

Engineering notes
Written by the engineers who did the work, not a content team.
Artikate Studio was founded in India and has been building software since 2016. We operate as a deep-tech engineering firm across AI systems, government and defence platforms, enterprise software, healthcare data and commerce. Clients range from classified government bodies to national federations and D2C brands. We are an AWS Partner, Google Cloud Partner, Red Hat Partner, Razorpay Technology Partner and part of NVIDIA Connect. Every engagement is handled by senior engineers, and the people who scope the work stay accountable for it.
Six practices, one delivery standard: AI and ML systems (computer vision, sovereign LLMs, RAG pipelines, MLOps); defence and national security platforms with air-gapped, LAN-only and classified data requirements; national-scale enterprise platforms; digital commerce; healthcare and regulated data; and product design and brand. We go deep rather than wide.
Yes — a significant part of our portfolio is classified government and defence work. We operate under strict NDAs and are experienced with air-gapped deployments, LAN-only infrastructure and sovereign model setups where no data leaves the client’s premises. We never name government or defence clients publicly. Those programmes appear by codename only — ARGUS, MINERVA, GARRISON, SENTINEL, SCRIBE — with capability and measured outcome described in full. Whatever we will not say about them is exactly what we will not say about you.
Our fastest classified delivery was MINERVA: 75 days from brief to production, on a classified corpus, with no data leaving the premises. A Shopify Plus store is typically 4–8 weeks. Enterprise platforms reach a working MVP in 6–10 weeks and then iterate. From the second phase onward you see working software every fortnight, and we agree the delivery plan before anything is signed.
Yes, and we test it with the network interface physically down rather than merely firewalled. We deploy open-weight models — Llama 3 70B, Gemma, Mistral, Qwen — onto your hardware, quantised to GGUF and sized against the real sustained workload. Retrieval runs locally over your own corpus with pgvector, and every generated answer cites the source document so an officer can verify it without trusting the model. Model and index updates arrive signed, on controlled media; no inbound network path is ever opened for convenience.
Four ways to engage: fixed-scope build (defined system, price and date — the right shape for tenders and board-approved capital projects); dedicated team retainer (a standing team on a monthly fee, joint IP available, typically 12–24 months, and our most common model); sovereign deployment (on-premise or air-gapped delivered end to end, including hardware specification and operator training); and support and SLA, where we take over an existing system, stabilise it, document it and run it. Effort is stated in person-days against a named work breakdown — the custody platform resolved to 1,256 days across 26 weeks, auditable line by line.
You do — all of it. Source code, schema, infrastructure definitions and documentation, on an open-source base with no per-seat licence at the platform layer. We treat exportability as a test: if you could not reconstruct your records and history from an export within one working day, it is a silo with an API page, not a platform you own. Either ending is normal and we plan for both from day one — support and enhancement under SLA, or a clean handover to your own team with the code and the runbook.
Always. We do not run a marketplace or a bench-based staffing model. Engineers assigned to your project work only on your project for its duration, so you get a consistent team rather than rotating contractors.
That flexibility is built into every engagement. A bench protocol keeps additional engineers current on your codebase, so a team can go from two to six inside a sprint cycle without losing delivery momentum. Priorities can also shift between two-week cycles without renegotiating the contract.
There is a structured escalation to the founding team, a sprint retrospective, and if needed a partial team change. In eight years we have never abandoned an engagement — we stay until the product is right.
Send us the constraint — the network you cannot open, the regulator you cannot argue with, the launch date you cannot move. We come back within four hours with a concrete next step.
